Just under 2 weeks and we collect our new (to us) motorhome.
It is a 2019 version with the front drop down bed and comfortmatic gearbox (eek).
It has done minuscule miles (<7k) but I don’t think it has ever seen a service. It needs solar, lithium and a good service regime.
I am based in the sunny East Riding of Yorkshire Bridlington) does anybody know of a good moho/Fiat garage for serving in this part of the World?

Any other Carthago owners that have advice as to what to look out for on these machines?

Thank you in advance.

If that’s true you will need the cam belt changed. Also the fluids in the gearbox changed and the kiss point reset. Not many dealers can do it. Morays in Portsmouth are the best and although a long way from you would be worth trying to arrange.
Have all the annual water penetration tests been done?

Plan a visit south and straight to adams Morey in Portsmouth would be my advise if you have just purchased a comfortmatic with no previous services👍

We have a 141 only a couple of months old with the nice 9 speed box.
Overall a solid well built van a few silly things but it's a pretty good van.

Don't know what chassis you have but 3500kg is almost impossible to run at 3500kg and will probably need uprating.

To the best of my knowledge nothing has been done.

What options does it have?

We are 3500 (order for 4250 was cancelled had to take what we could get).
Loaded it up as we would for a trip and weighed it, 3800kg.
Going to fit full air suspension and uprate to 4000kg.

Other than an oven and chequer plate garage it appears to be poverty spec.

Just got our 3yr old compact I 143 last week, and loving it, best quality Moho we’ve had, couple of little niggles to fix but nothing serious, and feels a good solid van and very quiet when driving. The 9 speed auto is excellent, looking at upgrading to lithium as have a 300ah Fogstar from last Moho and Victron stuff ready to go in, thoroughly recommend a Carthago.

I’m in York and on my last van I used North East Truck and Van in York for service work as they are Fiat Professional workshop.

I can tell who NOT to use and that is North East Truck and Van at Immingham. Utter cowboys and will not respect your motorhome. I speak from experience.

Carthago have discontinued the Compactline for 2025 model year.
Could it be to do with the Carthago switch away from Fiat to Merc? Despite what’s happening with MHF members perhaps demand elsewhere is low. Seems an odd decision.
