None Electric plots

My dog doesn't use £5 or £2 of anything on a site each time we go. But that is what they charge so we have two choices. That is life. Many on here talk about swapping their electric elements in their boilers, taking induction hobs, or electric cookers. Some use loads, some don’t. I only charge my batteries. But the cost is the cost. Nothing underhand. It is listed, you choose to go and pay it or not.
There are many more than 2 choices.
That’s not Life, as you put!
That’s Apathy !
Do you always pay what is Quoted!
I’m glad I don’t pay my bills in that way.
Next time you get Quoted a price, try negotiation, works really well.

You don’t have a mobile that has mor tec than the first moon module, then or an i pad.
You really should get one, it will save you looking for phone boxes.
How droll😏 however, I said not a single commercial motorhome is manufactured without hook up, so why would campsite owners not provide hook up?

Having planned, funded, built, opened and successfully run one for 17 years, I know that the vast majority want hook up.

If we are playing top trumps I’m fairly certain the technology on my camper will hold its own against most if not all on here, so I fully understand the technology, what does baffle me is the desire to post stating a desire to go “off grid” (sounds evocative and adventurous doesn’t it?) on a campsite:rofl:

When did I mention going off grid !
I simply said that , now that people are looking more eco, about camping, and not being forced to hook up if not wanted.
I don’t remember quoting adventure, in any of my posts. Sorry Eddy, didn’t want to get into an argument. Don’t won’t to spoil your holiday.👍

Last night got me thinking about , Off Grid,
& how times have changed. In both these subjects, here is a photo, of me with my family, “touring off grid, and as far as change is concerned, I can assure you there wasn’t a disposable nappy in sight.
If it’s not very clear, due to the age of the photo, (1955) that would be, and no sign of a hook up. I have to say that many posting on this forum wouldn’t have been born then. Oh and how eco friendly, a small four cylinder petrol Austin Seven, produced from parts made here, not just shipped in from across the globe because they could use cheap labour, to capitalise, & make more profit, whilst paying the Original workers, producing it here are left living on benefits, that come from our taxes.
Yes I can say without doubt, “The times they are a changing”.

Oh! man, there is none so blind as those who will not see.
There is no shortage of people, only people with there eyes open, & wanting a fare slice of the Cake. Let me just think for a moment here, less than a tenner an hour with probably no pension, or a top job in a University, not far from me, £500k a years plus free accommodation, oh , & don’t forget the huge pension, when that person takes early retirement having built up a huge pot. Probably stress that forces that early retirement, ehh?

If there's easy well paid jobs why doesn't anyone who thinks the jobs they are being offered aren't fair go for them? I think labour shortages are a problem in our country but in the longer term the biggest problem is a poorly educated and trained workforce we won't get to the highly skilled highly paid society with a lot leaving with a poor education. Also a lot who want better pay in low paid jobs don't seem that keen on the thing that logically follows paying more for the things they provide.

Now you are talking sense !!!
Poor education has been the problem since time began. I totally agree.
I think, if I say what I really want to say, this post will probably be taken down.
When I started to expand my business, way back in 1970. I decided to employ school leavers, & train them myself, associates of mine, said, “what are you doing training these young kids, they will end up stealing your contracts”.
That has been the mentality through out time. We have a culture , which works on the principle of “Pull the ladder up Jack, I’m ok”.
I hasten to say, that apart from one lad, who tried to steal from me, all the r
est stayed with me, & because of there loyalty, I helped all purchase there first home, and even today many years after I retired, my wife will say, “who’s that waiving at you & I say oh that’s so & so, he worked with us.
I shared all profits with each of them, and sent them on every training course possible. We & when I say we, not me, I mean all of us benefited.
But, if they had gone to work with some of my associates , they probably wouldn’t , because we had different opinions of how you slice a cake.
The funny thing was, we would invariably meet up at the local football match, & all they could do was moan about not being able to get loyal workers. I used to smile & think, “ Yeh well, Reap what you sow”!
One last thing, before I bore you to death,
my schooling, in the 1950/60s had a stupid mentality. Instead of looking at you & saying , yea, that’s what you are good at, let’s build on that, they would thrash you into improving what you were bad at, & never mind what you would like as a carrara. Let’s face it we can’t all be leaders, but it doesn’t mean we don’t want, or even need, a fair slice of the cake.
Right I’ve said enough, !!!

I must admit, I did think, where the heck is this going, apologies to all, I declare this post closed !!! I’m off to the pub.
