No Truma…..at all!!

Sounds like either your 12v supply is down or the panel is crock.
Do you have a multimeter to check 12v to the control panel?
Jeez, we’ll out of my comfort zone here! Have taken the bezel off and removed the control dial to find there is a RJ45 type connection, how do I find the 12v supply for that?
Thank you for your help.

Its strange how nothing on the dial is lit or flashing at all.

Might be silly but try setting the dial to off , turn off your 12v then turn on again and move dial to the top.

Just have a look and see if you can see any damage to the back wire at the end where it connects to boiler . Also check it hasn’t worked it’s way loose

Thanks for the input though👏
You didn't indicate which model of Truma heater you were having trouble with, which meant it could have been the Truma Ultra Store mo, which comes with a cowl/cover, as Swifter and I were referring to, as in the image below.

Just trying to help.

Jock.

Edit...........The 2 x images you in your first post weren't visible to me on my device, but I can see them now on my PC, ie, a Truma Combi 6, so please disregard any reference for the need to remove a cowl/cover.
Apologies for any confusion. (y)

No problems at all, any help is useful and I appreciate you taking the time to contribute.

Me and the torch are off to have a look...

What happens if you put it on EHU?

Long shot this but...............

Is it particularly warm - as in ambient temperature - so on start up, the control is connecting to your thermostat which is sending the " required temp achieved" signal and closing it down?

Edit just re-read your original post and you say "hot water and heating" so probably not the thermostat not asking for heat. Good Luck!

Just a thought.

You haven't opened a window near to the cooker since you last had it working have you ?

12v will go to boiler before control panel. Check if you have 12v at boiler.

i think you should give trump a ring in the morning.

As suavecarve has mentioned sometimes there is a boiler cut off switch fitted to a window if it is over the exhaust outlet (the outlet in your photo on the side of the van). The boiler will not operated if the window is open if this safety switch is fitted (they are not always fitted). The 12v power supply to your heating/hot water controls is supplied from the combi boiler.

I was thinking that too but it would've at least flashed up fault.

I'm going to try the 12v at the boiler then it will be truma and/or the dealer as its still under warranty. Just wanted it sorted asap as we're off on Friday afternoon for the weekend.

When I had the exact same problem it was the control connection wire , different to yours but it was a poor design by Swift in that the wire had been stapled to the wooden frame and after a while had rubbed the wire and damaged the connection .

So after more googling I found the error code for the flashing red led, rang Truma this morning and its error code 46. Pullengers have one for me to swap out, including cable, so will be off shortly to try it out.....fingers crossed

Alas, it's pooped 😡
Tried a new control dial, checked glass fuse, checked earth and bypassed van electrics with no luck.
A bit of a pain as we're away this weekend and the Jubilee weekend but at least the sites we're using have amenities. Also away for a week beginning of July but it's a CL site....so no showers etc. Managed to arrange to drop it off mid June and hopefully collect last week of June, a few days before we go.
Pullingers were very helpful, can only hope its relatively easy to pinpoint and fix.

Thank you for all your help 👍
