Why. Do you sleep with your eyes open and the lights on.How do you iron them ? Canot sleep in un-ironed sheets!
This is all getting very technical, can someone please ( in simple terms ) explain what an "iron" is ?You have got to be kidding!
I don't even iron clothes, not sure if we have an iron.
Creases soon fall out when worn. .
We all know that the first day out, driving off in the MH for a trip is the best feeling. The second best feeling for me is getting into freshly washed and steam pressure-ironed sheets and resting my head on a similarly ironed pillowcase that night, snug as a bug in a rug! Why. Do you sleep with your eyes open and the lights on.
Apo!ogies, but it's a Fleetwood Heritage 560-4 caravan...!What motorhome is that please?
Doesn't the steam press play havoc with your payload or do you carry a massive stock of sheets and pillow cases...... Or is it a case of sluming it after the first night. We all know that the first day out, driving off in the MH for a trip is the best feeling. They get very neatly folded and put away and come back out quite smooth. On campsite washes, they usually get a tumble dry and then a hang out in the sun and creases fall out a bit.Doesn't the steam press play havoc with your payload or do you carry a massive stock of sheets and pillow cases...... Have you locked a little man in your cupboard?
We had eiderdowns and blankets and starched sheets and then along came this heretical invention called a "continental quilt". Damn foreigners and their idiot ideas. . . . . . . .And they're called a Doona downunder in Oz & NZ.
As a kid we called them Eiderdowns but you always had a sheet under them.
I've just checked ours and it's actually 5.5 Kg (it was my father's so I didn't choose it to be that small). The instructions just say a large machine but if I can wash it in ours, then a 7 Kg one should be fineWhat max load does your washing machine have? Some are as little as 6kg (ours is 7kg) so do they state what size you need to wash each sized one?
Good job you were fully dressed when you took the photoOurs is quite posh!

What the hell was a counterpane? Anyone remember? We had eiderdowns and blankets and starched sheets and then along came this heretical invention called a "continental quilt". Damn foreigners and their idiot ideas. . . . . . . .
We use sheets and a cover on the 7.5 tog King size quilt. We have covers on the feather duvets, 4.5 tog, and sheets top and bottom. When it’s hot, we just use the sheets. It’s all about the layers.
Us tooWe use sheets and a cover on the 7.5 tog King size quilt.
Sheets are washed so cover doesn’t need to be washed every time and a King size quilt makes sure we don’t get cold draughts, then when it’s hot the quilt gets thrown off and use just the sheet!
Not at all. Been using them in the house and the motorhome for years. I use a 40 degree wash, choose the "extra water" option. A good fast spin prior to putting it out on the line means it will be bone dry later the same day. They are good aren’t they - thinking of changing at home too - just worried that if I get a super king it might be too much for our washing machine?
Do you use a lining inside your Duvaly, please?2 duvalays for me and him
Even jumping on it I doubt a full duvet would fit in the portable washing machine we carry in the van & it certainly wouldn't wash very well.We will stick to covers on the duvets, that way you can remove, wash, air dry, and refit in a day. I wouldn’t be so happy having to wait for two duvets to dry in a day, and would also probably require more washing machine cycles for the process.
We have silk duvets, their great, low tog, warm in winter cool in summer, never need a thick one, they. They fold up small as well to put under seats in van along with pillows, which the up most of the room.
Us too both in the house and van .They are so light but warm in winter and cool in summer as you have said . We do use a top sheet tooWe have silk duvets, their great, low tog, warm in winter cool in summer, never need a thick one, they. Ah - thank you - we looked at motorhomes with low single beds but didn’t recognise it. ThanksApo!ogies, but it's a Fleetwood Heritage 560-4 caravan...!
