No CD player

So you have usb socket, jack lead socket, and Bluetooth. So you can play anything you want.

Although you may find the connections on the rear of stereo and they will need extensions plugging in them.

@Jules132 if you open the large bin below the heater controls i think you will find an aux input usb in it.

Lunarman thank you, I have just found a usb and aux just above th drinks holders in the photo which you can’t see unless you bend right down! My iPod now works through the car radio, so I guess if I get a portable CD player this would work through the aux. Thank you all very much for you help. As you can see I am not technically minded so I find this site invaluable

And if it's not there, and as per Andy, you may very well find there are outputs on the rear of the unit that haven't been connected to a visible socket.

Oooops just seen you've found the outputs.
ps a usb portable cd player may very well connect \ work through the usb socket. If it does you would probably be able to control it via the head unit.

Just added an edit to the previous post.

Still think you should rip your cd's onto a usb stick as that will significantly reduce the faffing about.
Your head unit manual will probably tell you what formats it can read \ play. If you want to retain the cd quality you can rip to wav format as that is "like for like" digital or if you want to reduce size with a lossless format flac would be a good option. Both these formats are widely supported.

Ah ok that’s good to know. I can control the iPod via head unit so guess I’ll try and find a portable CD player that has usb end then if such exists

@Gellyneck, I do have lots of cds on my iPod, phone and iPad but when out I occasionally buy cds in Tesco etc that are good and it would be nice to play them at the time, hence a portable CD player would be a good “have” . We picked up a couple of oldies last year when driving to Cornwall in my previous Moho that had a cd slot on the system and had a singalong all the way lol

There are loads of usb external cd \ dvd drives out there (I've had a Samsung one for years for connecting to driveless laptops - this is their original intended purpose.) but you'll need to check compatibility with your head unit.

Ok thank you you’ve been so helpful. Have a good day and a lovely weekend

No unfortunately it doesn’t have anything on the fascia to connect anything
There may be a connection point underneath the dashboard and in front of the gear lever, if it's the same as later models?

Velcro it to the dash

Fantastic. I love it when this bunch on here comes up trumps with the answer. So much combined knowledge, it seems almost anything is solvable.

Just been out to our 2018 Elddis to see exactly where we plug our memory stick into. Our stick has almost 3,000 tracks on it and the music system in the 'van has a cracking artist/album/song search. We get our MP3 digital music (among other things) very cheaply from https://www.the-bookery.co.uk/ have a look, enjoy!

They may only work when connected to a PC /laptop. Borrow one if you can to check.

Thank you Wee Bold Davy will certainly have a look at the bookery. Have a great day. Just bought a roof cover for the Moho so am going to have a look at that today although won’t be able to get it on myself so will have to persuade my friend to help as will need a tall ladder
