hi has anyone use the ninja wood fire barbee on the hook up, on sites ,,just thought i would take mine next time, but thought ,,it might trip the electric,,?

dont know ,,just thought i would ask on here ,,
To save you the trouble I've just Googled for the spec'n which is 2400 watts if it's this one, so you'll need a minimum of 10 amp supply........

it wasn't really any trouble, i just wanted to know in real life, can it be used ,taking other things into consideration ,,dont want to drag it away to France, to find it keeps tripping the bollard this is why i pay for the forum to get the wealth of knowledge available from all on here ,,

Most EHU in France is only 6A .. I've came across a few at 10A and the very occasional 16A ..

As it uses 10A even a 10A supply could trip when you also have a fridge and battery charger.. to be safe it would be best used on a 16A EHU

I wouldn't bother lugging it there..

I use one, I use it all the time!

The Webber in home, as is the portable induction hob, the single gas hob, everything

Best BBQ ever, also a oven, air fried, smoker!

I have a Victron multi plus inverter charger set up, so can use it with or without hookup, but accept I wouldn’t use it for roasting a big chicken off hook up when travelling round

This is my Weber Go Anywhere which is excellent,

I use it with the gas canisters which makes it really portable.. and surprisingly they last a good while.. only used one on a three week trip and we BBQ most nights,.

Indeed, but your title that it's called a 'wood fire' but needed electricity was confusing and impossible to say if it would trip a bollard without knowing its power requirement. Having found the spec'n online it's apparent that a 10 amp current requirement would be impractical on most EHU bollards.

We have one and had the same thoughts as you so we didn't take it. So I am interested too. I think the ninja is around 1200 watts it may be more, mine is back in the shed at the moment. Edited to say my ears are still ringing after Mr Gina M saw the size of it. Useless to us as I bought it to take on campsites with EHU, anyone want to buy if off me !!!

It is very heavy and bulky.

Yep, it works fine even on 10 amp hook up.

We’ve had a ninja woodfire since last September we always take it away in the motorhome along with the 2 draw ninja for part baked bread etc, the woodfire will work best on 16amp, we’ve used it on 10amp but some breakers have tripped possibly weak ones, it cooks amazing and don’t leave home without it 😁

Thought I might take our Big Green Egg. Except it’s 73kg. Hang on - that’s about the same as Rog weighs, a real hit to the payload. Unless I leave one behind - Big Green Egg or Big Pink Roger? Which would be more useful, I wonder? Hmm….
