Nice (I think )

Am I the only one who thinks they look hideous and ugly and totally not needed unless your in the desert or jungle

an old army or forces truck with a square box on the back

What is they’re to like is beyond me tbh

8 mpg and a £1000 a tyre, yeah I want one not 🤔

Little man syndrome 😉

Saw one of those in Spain last year. 20yr trip around the world. 👍

Don't need one of those for around the world. Tread the globe (youtube) did it in a 20 year old Ducato. Snow and Curt (youtube) have done South America and are about do Africa (Morroco to South Africa) in a 2 wheel drive Mercedes Sprinter.

Nice though -would allow a little more proper off roading but limited in access to more built up areas due to it's size.

Swiss one parked near me last night , single female looked like Annie Lennox in the late 80's , got a border collie with her.

Just shows its not just the men that buy them .

Picture of Annie Lennox lookalike would help me decide if I like the camper or not. 😂👍
Too late I moved on this morning. She even had the big long gestapo style leather overcoat .. short spikey hair. Nice big truck but meh still couldn't justify the running cost for any benefit

Depends which one you're talking about ;)

I may have been a bit too hasty regarding these offroad jobbies

last year we were on a carpark and every motorhome had got a parking ticket under the window wiper apart from this giant hideous off road jobby, and I meant mahoosive.

The reason being is the attendant couldn’t reach the windscreen never mind the wipers and it’d been there over a week lol

So they do have a use after all 🤣🤣🤣

Morocco to South Africa? That would be interesting - some pretty hairy countries en route.

We followed one onto the beach at Vera. It looked like it would topple over any minute. It made a hell of a racket, rattling and banging. I'd need ear defenders to drive one. In fact our van was more composed on the impossibly 'off road' level sand. We parked not far from each other. The main difference was they used ten times more diesel to get to the same spot and they needed a ladder to get in and out of it.

Oh and the colour could be described as 'shiny turd' brown. Lovely!

And on the motorways they still make a huge racket, drive at half the speed of everyone else and use three times the fuel.

Nothing wrong with poo brown it's the colour of my car

Looks a bit out of place on the hardstanding but I guess it’s on its way to Morocco . I would not like to fall out of that door it must be 6 foot of the ground😂 . It is smart though.

Who has done half a day off roading?? Its boring slow and uncomfortable...An hours mud plugging in a 4 x 4 is one thing but mile after mile on those corrugated graded dirt roads is sole destroying..Tarmac for me everyday and a nice bar at tea time to refresh in.BUSBY.

Cousin of mine cycled Cairo to South Africa some years ago..BUSBY

No one is trying to force anyone to buy one , and I heard similar dismissive comments when I had a US RV , we all have our reasons for choices we make as to what we want to do and where we want to go , and 99 % of the time its not trying to upstage other travelers . I don't find I need to diss the vast majority that buy PVC or coachbuilts , even if I personally see many shortcomings with them , after all its "Motorhome fun "

You could find a cobblers and they'd likely sort your destroyed sole....

I think that's it....the 'for me' biut...thankfully we're all different or the world would be a very boring, beige place.
