Evening all, a few daft questions now that we have our new home... I've googled, read the literature, even found out another identical van for sale and still I'm challenged.

Lets start with an easy one. Awnings; Its wind out and I have the pole for that but should I have some poles / legs to support it once out or are these integrated into the awning? See, I said they were daft questions...

Second on to the main control panel and the swivel mount below. Is the mount for a tv -somehow- and what about the sockets on the panel? one is 240v, one a threaded aerial socketand a third I'm unsure about? Its an odd place for a 240v socket so I presume its a tv point

I think the main sunroof vent had a damaged thread to the crank mechanism as it struggles to shut tight or open up? Is this something easilt repairable, hopefully?

Otherwise, we love our new home and can't wait to get out and about. Finally a home I can stand up in...

Thanks in advance for your patience.

This is the TV mount. The latch is broken so a struggle to use. Something else to replace  How would a VESA attach? I'm sure I could bolt it on somehow. Now to look out for that aerial lead.
Perhaps I should swap out the Hella socket at some point? Ooh, an amplifier? who knew. I'll have to look for that too. I'm not sure what to do about TV viewing.
Don't be in a hurry to replace the Hella socket they are a far better connection than the standard cigar lighter socket type.

The F connector may be connected to an amplifier and there may be an aerial within the roof structure it's quite common on German vans. If it is the case connect your TV up and make sure you turn on the 5v antenna power in the menu (to power the amp), if you then tune the TV and pick up stations you know you have an aerial.
If nothing it is probably just pre-wired and the cable will be left behind the rear of a roof locker somewhere.

Vesa is just the hole mounting pattern, on a small TV it will be a square of 4 holes at either 75 or 100mm spacing. It looks like part of the bracket is missing if so you might have to buy the whole bracket, which could be very expensive.

I kinda suspected not all the mount was there? Interesting there's another listed on either Ebay or Autotrader and it looks the same. I reckon its still attached to the former owners TV? I'm sure I can some up with something to resolve it. I have the connectors and an aerial cable on order and will leave it as is. I jusy need a few decent days to get my teeth into it. I'd like to get the Sky View gears ordered though if anyone can confirm that it is a SEITZ window? I have a whole folder of paperwork yet nothing for the Sky View. It wont stop us getting away, esp in Spring. Thanks for the info :giggle:
