Newbies in every sense

[MCMLXIX]

New to the forum and new to motorhomes. We purchase our first motorhome a month ago, have had three weekend outings, already bumped it once due to inexperience (thankfully minimal damage). It's a six-berth, with an awning (unused as yet), just the two of us and our three dogs.

We're in our fifties, should have done this sooner, but learning with every trip and receptive to all the advice we can get.

This looks like a welcoming community, so if you're reading this then THANK YOU. And apologies in advance for the questions that will seem very basic!
