Hi Cejay have a look at Roaming in Raymond ( on youtube) especially the episodes where Helen goes of to Scotland on her own (well with Wolfie the dog too). You might get some ideas about places to visit / avoid. Best wishes on your adventures.

You've come to the right place as a first time motorhomer. There's more MH knowledge on here than you could shake a stick at

If you've not done so already, a lot of people suggest doing short trips for the first couple of nights in the new MH (or even just your own driveway) so that if something fails or doesn't work as you need it to then getting home isn't a stressful event.

I'm building my own van conversion, and I quite often do the 'driveway' sleep when I've changed something significant in the van to see if I'm happy with it.
