Newbie to MH

Hi folks, not long bought an ML-T 580, which we love, Moved up from a 2009 T5 which we got converted and used for 10 years. Onwards and upwards, first thing i have noticed nobody cuts the trees at the side of the roads or should I say they dont cut them back enough, clipped the wing mirror a few times already. and at £500 quid a pop i am set to panic... BTW to get MB to carry out a full service including rear axle and auto transmission fluid were talking about £1000 unbelievable...... So i will get One done by MB and do the rest myself from now on.

Talking to a neighbour yesterday who drives a MB, he was saying the local main dealer charges 200 plus vat an hour for labour.
The service manager told him the only servicing they do is for company cars and those on service contracts, nobody else will pay those crazy prices. Apparently it's a rate that's set nationally.
Probably worth looking for a good independent workshop

Having just bought the van I would like to have a full service from MB just as a base line, the gent i bought it from has had services done but few and far between as the mileage is only 9K on a 2015 plate.

Quite a few have us have mirror protectors for that reason, well worth researching them ...
Its not just trees etc, it's when you clip or are clipped by another vehicle that the most damage is done
