New York to Miami via New Mexico

I tried cruiseamerica.co.uk but was put off by their website trying to SELL to me what they wanted to SELL rather than let me enquire of them what I wanted to buy. They also seemed to have an insurance limit of 70y and I'm 71.

I don't think so, it averages less than 85 miles per day. (7,070m 86 days) Even at my leisurely pace it won't take all morning.

The biggest stretch I've got is El Paso to San Antonio 550 miles, but the app suggests it will take 16h22m. Long straight roads across the desert I suppose. (I'll probably split it and boondock the night in Fort Stockton.)

But most days I'm scheduling 100 miles or less with several 2,3 and 4 nights at a single location.

The Newark Depot is my pick-up point. I'll be outta there pdq but I'm only planning on a 50 mile drive that day, hopefully park-up in the Harriman State Park Beaver Pond area.
I lived in the US (Connecticut) for a while in the mid 90's.
Your schedule would be a lot to do in 3 months
I think you either need to extend the time or shorten the miles.

I did 3 weeks just of New England in an RV.
I also did 4 weeks driving from NY via the east coast to Georgia, then across the bottom via New Orleans and Arizona, and the California. That was a LOT of driving.
I also spent 3 weeks in Florida just seeing the main sights, and that was a lot of driving as well.

Allow more time for certain places, for example Cape Canaveral is a full day, a weekend would be a bit more realistic.
The Grand Canyon, you could easily spend a week.

Note: You will not be able to arrive and drive on the same day.
When we picked up our rental RV they insisted that Europeans had overnighted in a local hotel.

Thanks Brains, we are planning a couple of Hotel nights before and after the pick-up/drop-off to get sorted out.

I know it's easy to spend ages in smaller areas, however we get restless and like to keep moving. We've already done Grand Canyon/ Monument etc. on an earlier tour, We've been to cape Canaveral twice before (To see Shuttle launches) but we've got 2 days booked in again!

We hired a KEA Camper in Melbourne when we went to Oz for 3 months and covered over double that distance nearly 20,000 miles.

Melbourne/Philip Island/Wilsons/Prom/Lakes Entrance/Blue Mts./Sydney/Frazer Island/Whit Sundays/Brisbane/Townsville/Cairns/Barrier Reef/Mount Isa/Tennants Creek/Kacado/Darwin/Tenents/Alice Springs/Ayers Rock/Kings Canyon/Coober Pedy/Port Augusta/Perth/Albany/Adelaide/Mount Gamble/Great Ocean rd/Melbourne.

In 2019 we drove the Augusta from Gibraltar to the Artic Circle(Norway) and back in 7 weeks, with plenty of time in all the stops, Bergen/Tollheim/Oslo/Gutenberg/Copenhagen, etc. We did the Kontiki Tour and climbed the Pulpit rock .

We are just restless souls.
