I don't know what you mean, could you elaborate?

Keith, No, must be half asleep or really thick this morning, still don't know what kind of 'charity' thing you are talking about. Can you help me to understand?

Hi Suzy (good morning to you )
Ok, here goes, but please remember that I am thinking out loud here
JSW started a thought process along the lines of....... Why not find a good cause and do something charitable to make their New Year a bit memorable, like doing a kareoke or something similar for some old folks, maybe do several all over the country? Maybe get local TV to cover it and get free advertising for the site  but the main thought here was to do something FUN for someone else for free.
What do you all think?

Keith

Sorry not for me.

My leisure time is hard earned as it is and cost me each time I go near my RV with getting help in to cover.

If I get away at New Year it has to be fun:Wink:

Ok thanks for that, I now understand and do agree it could be something that people may be interested in. I certainly agree that any advertising for the site is good.

Anyway this is off topic, perhaps we should open another thread for it and keep this thread for agreeing and organising the proposed New Year Meet?

Hi Suzy

Bringing this one to the top again - we need to get something organised quickly as a lot of sites will already be booked.
Keith and I would def like to come provided it is not Scotland or Land's End.

If you need any help choosing a suitable site, please let us know.

Sharon

Yes we need to be looking hard now.

New Years Eve 2007

Thanks Sharon, I am sure you are right.

Although I think New Years Eve in Scotland would possibly be awesome I think we are better looking more centrally. Looking at the map I suppose a good place would be Worcester or Warwickshire as there are good links for all to get there.

What does everyone else think?

Do you, or anyone else for that matter, know of any sites in that area that would be suitable?

Or does anyone know a really excellent site somewhere else that you think would be more suitable?

Hi

What about the site called Taversal at Mansfield. Plenty of hard standing, centre of the country (ish) and a pub within in few hundred yards. Need to get someone a pardon but I understand he has taken to religion so should not be a problem.

I don't think so! Camp Commandant is too strict for a New Years Eve Celebration!:Laughing:

So we need hard standing with hookup and a pub are a barn/shelter to entertain ourselves with a laid back warden.

Hi Suzy
We have just spent ages trawling the www for inspiration, but have drawn a blank.... We don't really know that part of the country so it is a bit more difficult for us.
We called a few places but they either are shut, do not have hardstandings or only take 5 vans :Eek!: So sorry but we have tried.....
We also thought of trying to find somewhere with either a pub on site or some form of building that we could use to all get together out of the weather, it is no fun being under an awning in the cold and wet
Maybe some of the others can come up with a suggestion or two?
Will keep looking....

Keith

Hi Suzy
