New year --at the races

I feel I should complain about all the funsters that have led me astray.
Forced me to drink and sing.
And not wanting to let them down
I will have to let them force me to drink again
Tonight and tomorrow:BigGrin:

Having a wonderfull time
Going to be hard going home.

Big thank you to Haganaps again. Only downside being that Tara fell in love with my fake sheepskin rug when it was hanging up to dry.....not helped by Chris dressing up in it... Brilliant meet that the weather hasn't spoilt.:BigGrin:

Just popped home for a Bath and too pick the Kids up...

Should be back in the hall for about 8pm tonight to announce the winners of the find the horse competition.


Then a nice early night tonight. All funsters need to be on best form for tomorrow's party.

Just a reminder that people can pick their race tickets up from my van between 8-10 am in the morning. There is a precautionary inspection at 07-30 tomorrow but it's still anticipated that racing will happen, so fingers crossed.

Shame to have to split the group up today and move a few vans but all will be back together for the party. :thumb:

Me too, so I popped up to the 24hr Tesco for breakfast. They've only gone and closed their cafeteria in favour of a small COSTA cafe. :Doh:
I cam back thinking that breakfast might consist of a scotch egg and a sausage roll, but the lovely Rita has stepped into the breach by exercising her culinary skills. :BigGrin:

First Race is at 12:40. My mate who knows about these things said anything could win any of the races. He reckons that Wind will be a big factor!! Pauline says "Not much changes there then!!":rain:
 
Lieve says the wind is a big factor.

Good to meet you Meor and your lovely wife. It was great that you came to England to the New Year Meet. We went to Bruges on 1st.December. Great Beer! 12% Wow!!!!!!! What a lovely place you live in. Look forward to seeing you at another Fun Meet in the future.

Thank you for a brilliant start to 2013 and for all the hard work that was put in by all concerned, it was a new adventure for us and we won the race despite the old hag with three legs promoted by Haggers "Hectors House" a real donkey in the same race. :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:
We think that Paul and Nikki did a wonderful job and marshalled their troop of helpers to ensure everyone had a wonderful time.

b) a solo

But it was brilliant to share time with everyone especially Ray and Jane as other solos, see photo. Thanks also to the lovely lady who took time to have a game of Rubbicub with us when she arrived and helped us learn the rules. See photo.

Thanks everyone who made it special... especially the young man who made the evening sooooooo wonderful..... (I've offered to baysit if ever needed cos you are a little cracker and soooo funny... hug:thumb:)
