New radars arrive in france

If the law said so, yes. I would assume, hope, that the laws were properly thought through and designed for mine and other’s benefit.

Interesting what some see as the need to disobey laws.

Seat belts are a safety device, I have always use one since it became a legal requirement. I have never needed it, in spite of driving 40,000 miles a year, for many years. But one day it may save me so I'll keep wearing it, once it's on I don't notice it anyway

In the winter of 1982 I was driving a car that I had purchased from a friend, prior to my purchasing the car my friend had insisted that I fitted inertia seat belts and a laminated screen for him after seeing someone who had been through a toughened windscreen.
One winter day I had the misfortune to have a head-on accident on ice, foolishly I wasn't wearing the seat belts that I had personally installed for the previous owner. I broke the new laminated windscreen with my head! Fortunately I was not seriously injured, which couldn't be said for the car that was driving it was a write-off!

I have learned my lesson, I wear seatbelts in any vehicle that has them fitted. However my 'classic' doesn't and there is no sufficiently sturdy location to fit them.

Interesting debate on complying with or not, rules and laws! I’m largely in the camp of I shall make my own decisions in life thanks, but recognise we need enforcement of certain rules to create a society worth living in!

If Landy Andy wishes to not wear a seatbelt, IMHO, irrespective of my views, it’s his choice. Societal rules go too far in some respects… inform the population of the risk/reward of actions and let them make their own decisions.

So if you thought you were safer carrying a firearm for your defence you would regardless of the law?
yes
Do you obey speed limits if you think the conditions allow for faster travel?
no. I rarely even know what the limits are? I travel at what is a reasonable & safe speed for the road & conditions.
once it's on I don't notice it anyway
Until you need to take your jumper or coat off. Makes it a bit awkward:LOL:

You weren't in France on friday were you, the car in front was doing exactly that, it wandered about over the white line about 30cm, then nearly onto the grass verge, they did that a couple of times, then I saw them dump something on the passenger seat.😱🤣
