New puppy ❤️ How to introduce to the motorhome?

Such a gorgeous girl!
Our 14mth old Labrador, Honey, loves travelling in the motor home. She had free access to it whilst I prepared it for our first journey with her, so had explored it thoroughly before we left.
She has now travelled through various countries to and from Greece.

I have a new best buddy - a gorgeous golden working cocker spaniel puppy ❤️ She is only 2 months old, and just come to live with us, but is settling in well at home.

We love our motorhome, and want to help our puppy love it too! Any suggestions for how to best introduce a young puppy to the joys of motorhome holidays?

We have a safe travel crate (measured to fit a quiet spot in the motorhome), lots of vet bed etc. Any advice on what else we would need? (Eg habitation door barriers, outside fencing etc)

Really interested to know how others first introduced their puppy (or older dog) to their motorhome? Any suggestions welcome … with puppy / dog pictures 😄

I've always had spaniels , those pictures are gorgeous , smashing spaniel paws , I have a rescue spaniel Phoebie , she's my heartbeat , not had real problems with any of my dogs , over the years , travelling thousands of miles , I know times have changed , I've always tried to make them as comfortable and safe as I can , without restricting them too much , just common sense really , in the next few weeks I am changing my van for one which is more suitable to my circumstances , It will be interesting to see how she reacts . For the love of our dogs 😊🐕

Gorgeous. When our youngest was a pup, he came away with us the day after we collected him. He was in a soft travel crate, but escaped that, so harness onto the seat belt since.
A puppy pen outside is ideal while they are small. A gate across the hab door, hubby altered one so we can open and shut the gate without removing it.
A biothane longline is great for outdoors, doesn't cut your legs like the plastic covered metal ones do. Photo of gate and our John, another ginger ninja

Shes absolutely gorgeous.
Nothing more to add than whats already been said.

Our lab camps at the door as soon as she hears the van come on the drive as she knows when she’s in it we are off somewhere nice(beach etc).
We fed her in the van to get her used to it and had her bed behind the front seats. Lots of stops on first journeys for Toilet breaks. Now she jumps straight into van onto bed and goes to sleep till we arrive at destination. Good luck what a gorgeous looking dog you will be fine 👍

I can’t remember how we introduced her - I think we took her in a weekend away. She loves it! She had us where she wants us - locked in, close, no escape for us! Every time she walks past it in our drive she stops and sits at the door, hoping …
