New or pre owned van?

Tony's purchase in post above is not unusual.

I bought our N&B Arto69GL 2003 in 2009 with 16,500 miles, a few extras - alarm reversing camera etc. It probably cost £60,000 new. I bought privately for £27,500

They are out there if you know what you want(I knew that I wanted exactly that model) and keep your eye out, but you may not get it in 1 month or 2, but surely tens of thousands saving is worth waiting for, and as others have said the wait for exactly your spec new might be longer.

With Cars or motorbikes I either buy New or 1 year old barely used but when it comes too Motorhomes I buy New because I wanted a proper Auto Box & Fiat only came out with one this year and its sublime (y)

Its a good thing so many people buy New otherwise people wouldn't have any secondhand ones to buy rofl :ROFLMAO:

Nearly all my added extras (Toys) can be removed and fitted to my new van .

Second hand (usually). Though we did get a cracking deal on a Brand New La Strada. we sold for what we paid for 18 months after. In Todays market, there would have been a queue and I would have possibly returned a profit.

Buy the right van at the right time. The rarer and most sought after the better.

You will easily find a buyer for a Decent Concorde, as one example.
You will find yourself amongst many competitors selling a Swift.

I believe markets have changed recently (supply v demand) so there may not be much choice.
There could be a long wait for a new one.
S/H from a dealer should provide some comfort if anything goes wrong.
S/H is likely to have extras for which there is little premium.
With S/H you can see and check everything before you commit (think payload).
Most of the other things, I think, have already been said.
