Looks like my battery is kaput only three and a half years old 100AH Leoch Pure AGM Lead Carbon PLH+ C100 Deep Cycle.
The warranty is 5 years but a bit of mismanagement from myself due to a prostatectomy near the end of the year has discharged it beyond repair by the looks of it.

So I'm torn between another or going down the lithium route. Can I just change to lithium without doing anything else? It's a 2011 plate Swift Bolero I have.

Conventional wisdom is that if you are replacing with the likes of 100AH LifePo4 (Lithium) on a vehicle of your vintage you will just need to fit a B2B. Battery 240 volt charger and solar charger will not charge completely to 100% but the B2B will do that and keep the battery in good running order.

If going for a much larger lithium you will really need to change all three charging devices and likely you will want a mains inverter as well.

If you have no plans for early use you might get a 100 AH and B2B sorted fairly quickly. If not I suggest looking to fit a cheapish lead acid (assuming your charger will cope) and look to upgrade to lithium next time. That is my thought process.

P.S A 100AH lithium will be an upgrade as you can discharge it almost completely whereas your AGM will needs to be kept mostly charged to avoid damage (As you have just discovered! But the right charger (like an Optimate) might just stir your AGM into life. Might be worth a try?)
