New laws in Murcia, no free camping allowed

On a site now near Benicarlo. Run by English lady.

Good size plots (but way too expensive for a lot of Funsters) at €22 a night inc 4kwh leccy.

Camping Alegría del Mar. https://www.campingalegria.com/
Is it the same site in Benicarlo that charges €18 with acsi card including 4kw and dogs.🤔
I think fun had a rally or two there. 😎 Bob.

unfortunatley its human nature to take the proverbial. Many restrictive rules and laws come about because people will push and push what are often rules or allowances put together for a good reason.

Am going to Spain for 1st time in a couple of weeks. Even so, from Santander to Beni I will look for a camp site to stay overnight.
Hi, Zaragoza has decent camp site not far of the E7 which is now toll free. The site has a Restaurant, Swimming pool etc and is only a short walk to a supermarket. We have used it every time on our way down through Spain.
It is about 3 hours driving from Bilbao. and a bit longer from Santander.

Not surprised, it sounds like we are being punished for the less considerate, ignorant and FLT's, surely if you are happy to park up with dozens of other vans for weeks or months you should be on a campsite, wild camping gives the sensible a chance to travel round and see the country in it's true splendour and enjoy the traditions of the place, also, if you want to empty your cassette you shouke make sure you understand where, (sanimiento)!! not into the phone cable manhole!! We have spent months in Spain in the past and enjoyed some fantastic places, on campsites and wild camping, we never parked badly or stayed for more that a few days, we never emptied our cassette where we shouldn't, never left rubbish, and we never had any trouble with the authorities.

I live in Spain - as a general principle you can park anywhere with a motorhome as long as you don’t evidence camping behaviour, i.e. putting anything outside the footprint of your vehicle! Constrains you a little but isn’t too arduous!

Thanks minesapint. Was looking at this site. Good to hear positive feedback about it and that there is a supermarket close by. 👍👍

Exactly, the trouble today seems to be that a lot of new comers to the motohoming dont have a clue, and of course there are the plain bloody minded, they parkup anywhere with no consideration for anybody else, out goes the awning, the table and chairs come out and they make themselves at home. We have spent months in spain and our awning and table never came out, on odd occasions we did get chairs out but they went away when we had finished. I am sure tha Spanish and others appreciate the money we spend, but they will only tolerate so much bad behaviour.

Yes. Don't have ACSI until January 1st 2023. 😁

If you wanted an acsi book for 2022 the camping shop in Benicarlo had a few last week. If you are staying on that site for a few nights it nights it might be worth getting the book saving 4€ a night.

If it were me I would likely go via Zaragoza and stay at the campsite in that city, although electric will be expensive. Or alternatively go via Aranjuez (Madrid) and stay at the ACSI site there. All depends on your arrival time BikerGraham. Burgos is closer and has a good campsite too but your pretty high up there so maybe cold.
Burgos Aire if still there, is on a carpark, shopping centre opposite, to find it as Satnav hadn't got Spain on !! I asked at the Police station he was very by helpful.
Aranjuez ( Madrid) is on high ground like Madrid , big site , minus 6 Centigrade in Aranjuez !! Stayed at both sites in February , after Aranjuez we went straight down to Motril on campsite, sea across the road

Looking at this for tomorrow night. Up the 232 from the coast. Stop at Morella for old times sake, and to Z!

If you are only wanting to stop for a night there also is a Parking area for MoHo,s just of the A2/Z-40 in C.Luciano Gracia.
If I remember rightly you come of at the first junction after crossing the River Ebro. Check it out first but it could be OK for you.

Two weeks tonight. 18th then onto El Raco in Beni from 19th.

Decided to ferry it down instead of driving through France to make it easier this time.

Have a safe drive down madcaravanner.

Maybe see you in Beni for a few beers 🍻 👍🥳

There now. Not many here although one other UK van and a UK caravan.

Around 6°C when we arrived. A little too cold for the swimming pool.... 😉

Local beer in onsite bar.

Lovely wish were there.

Not bad even in the rain!

A bit of Spanglish avoided "EHU Rage" as the guy in pitch 83 plugged in to 82. Mine. I used 112. Then 112 arrived. Luckily he saw the problem.and there was some rapid Spanish and it was solved!!

😂😂😂
