New GRP and paintwork restorer

Jez / Anyone - do you have any pics of before - after ?

Would be great to see some results, so I can compare before buying.

Jez - Assume you recommend applying wax, after the restorer has been applied ?

Thanks
Sorry don't have any photos as my current van has never needed a good cutting. I have used it to remove minor tree scratches but they were hard to see before I cut them down. I would recommend waxing after use.

Hi is your product same price to funsters as it is on eBay

will it fill hairline cracks on my old caravan where previous owners have pushed on the fibreglass and caused cracks ?please

That's a no...
It's a product to revitalise the surface not fill or repair cracks.

If you have stress cracks in GRP you probably need to do a proper repair

If it's just a few hairline cracks I would just leave them as repairing properly is quite a big job, lots of people talk about Captain tolleys creeping crack cure but I have never used it so can't comment, it wouldn't do any harm though.

And me please.

Thanks i just worry that damp might get in i might get some apropriate decals to cover them 🤓

Just looking back at this thread how did anyone that bought the product get on.
This van is coming up 3 years and the top either side of the window is starting to fade. The sides ect are still looking highly polished. It is only on this front grp
Not sure a heavy cut is required any recommended products?

I have a 2012 Adria coral with similar over cab it had lost its shine and had a chalky appearance.
I use the mix I had from this thread with a double action machine then a maguires marine polish.
Worked a treat but not a quick job bad the reach is not easy and you don’t want pressure on the roof.

You need to keep up the polish once it’s done.

Don't forget that I also do 2 tougher grades of polish.

Do you think that your magic mixture will work on black streaks on decals?

Fenwicks black streak remover doesn’t have any effect.

I sell it for £11.99 including delivery.
My ebay stock is still the old version. I will message you.
Yes please me to I’ll have some👍😊

Just a thought after you have all polished your pride and joy, if you don't have undercover storage, surely it would be prudent to protect the motorhome with an all over cover.
We use one on ours and it protects the paintwork from the Ultra-violet and the winter frosts, leaves on the roof etc etc.

I used a cover on a previous van , even though it was supposed to be breathable it caused moisture problems in the interior no matter what remedial action I took.

I may have just had a crap cover but it was quite expensive and supposedly a good quality job.
So now don’t bother just use it as often as possible throughout the winter with even just short trips .

It may, however it could damage them if the colour is softer than the black streak.

We have a Maypole Breathable cover, less than £200 and have never had a problems, one concern was water could collect on the roof and then freeze in the winter, so we always park with one wheel on levelling chock, to take up the slack in the material covering the roof we placed two Space Hoppers under the cover so now it's an apex roof, perfect works for us.

jezport Do you still have this product ?
I have a 2003 Hymer A Class and seem to have lost the finish on the front grp.
It's dull and marks are very difficult to remove :(
Would your product help restore this finish ?

Yes still do it. Every job can be different, it should work but you can never tell until you try it.
