I've been meaning to get this replaced for a while now as the old one was tatty and full of holes.

Not a lot of places around that will do it but I found an alterations place in Edinburgh that reckoned they could use the old one as a template.

I've just fitted it and really happy with it. The elastic is a bit tight but I'm hoping that will ease off with a bit of use.

I bought the material from Edinburgh Fabrics for £40 and Tailor Stop charged only £40 to do the work. (both shops just down from the south Bridge in Edinburgh)

Looking Good.
Just out of interest, what sort of fabric is it? Can you take the whole thing off and put it on delicates wash in the WM?
If we had a front drop down bed, I think I would have chosen a darker fabric, maybe Blue or something to match the interior furnishings as that might shield the morning sun out for a lie in at weekends.;)
Sleep well.(y)

I heard it was easy to take off but a pain the rear to put back on. This particular one was maybe different as it was easy as anything to take on and off. This is just a type of polyester as far as I know. The fabric shop couldn't tell exactly what the old one was. It had more of a silky feel to it. I guess you could wash it but the plastic/rubber tongue and groove type fittings are sewed in to it so can't be removed.
