Never seen a woman do it..!

Granted, Men are completely useless at loading and operating washing machines, whereas women are hopeless at loading dishwashers correctly... however, as SWMBO pointed out this weekend, why is it only the men who empty toilet cassettes....? This got me thinking and has played on my mind since..........In all the years of people watching on sites, I have never witnessed women emptying a cassette... we know there are lady only campers out there - perhaps they wait till dark or go in disguise....
I think you need to get out more 😂 I’m a lone traveler aged 74 and do everything with my van, including emptying the loo. 🙄

I always emptied our loo and cleaned it. My husband was in a wheelchair so he couldn’t do it. And as I plan to continue motorhoming since my husbands sudden and unexpected death, I guess I will continue to be a lady loo emptier!

Very disappointed at the stereotypical attitude of some male members….. I do, however, understand that some of them may have weak stomaches! Apparently unlike some of the contributors here, I am single, can do: washing, ironing, fill and empty dishwasher and the Thetford cassett. I also shop, cook, make my bed, etc., etc…
Strange thing is that I also did all this when I was not single… Oh, that’s not quite true….. my partner (female, just in case you were wondering) did all the above as well…. We used to call it sharing!!

I see to all aspects of what we eat and drink, so he sees to the other end of things. It suits us.

Ooo I think that’s a very sexist comment! I think you would be surprised at the amount of solo female travellers who empty their toilets, after all they have no choice and they certainly would t be bothered about doing this job in daylight.

I think you should swap roles with your partner- they may not like it, but it’s due to the ‘said’ male and female roles that this has occurred.

Well i must be different because i have never emptied our cassette.
My wife does it every time.
There are a lot of jobs to do when moving from one site to the next.
Electric, awning, bikes etc all my jobs, she has always done the cassette and moans about the state of the dump that some people leave it in.

I always empty the cassette as my partner is a wimp and heaves at the merest thought if it. I am unbothered by shxt, blood, vomit, etc.....

I was using cut up incontinence bed pads or puppy pads when Rosie had an accident . Not happened for a long while now but the squares still useful for grandchildren accidents. Light and easy to store as a better starting shape than a nappy.
Minxy Funnily enough, or maybe not so, 10 minutes after writing this, my visiting sister knocked over a mug of strong coffee onto the carpet - what a mess. The puppy pads were first to hand to soak up as much as possible !

When we picked up our (first) Moho from the dealer, we came to the relevant outside locker and the lady doing the handover said to us "now we come to the man's job - emptying the cassette" :)

I was told from day one that under no circumstances would there be any toilet emptying going on by my wife

I don't have a problem with emptying it , but on a site , it's not a time for a chat with fellow campers, not at all. That would be a no , don't speak to me while I'm disposing of , urghh

I have witnessed numerous women at shows and rallies emptying Cassette and filling the water tanks even those who have a husband or partner some of whom are disabled some not, and they can do just as good a job of it....Just sayin.

My OH generally does the driving, so I do the cassette, as I think that's a fair trade-off, although it's not a formal arrangement as such! ⚖️
