Nespresso not working on Inverter

The fans on ours are thermostatically controlled, if yours is the same they're not coming on because it's cold.
I am sure though when I first got it and switched it on the fans started up for half a second then went off and kicked in when needed whilst in use, so am thinking something has gone wrong there.

Gas kettle,,instant coffee,,not as good but simple,or come to Spain. Excellent coffee in bar or cafe,1 euro 20 cents max.BUSBY.

Can it still run something of a similar load, such as a hairdryer? You said it did before but can it now?

Yes but as above I think the fan has stopped working so higher wattage not working

So..... do you mean you can't run a hair dryer at all or does it cut out after a while?

Have both the inverter and the coffee machine checked out, One or both have an issue. I am making the assumption that the Coffee machine does work on the Mains EHU?. Full sine inverters, like inverter generators can still be "picky" about what is being operated. Ours has to run medical equipment.

No hairdryer fine, Mrs T fully dried her hair yesterday, as I said above I think the internal fan has stopped working so it wont generate enough power to start coffee maker as it thinks it may overheat without it (though this is my non technical thought!!). Going to dealers on Thursday so hopefully get an answer.

Agree but I guess they need to test and confirm it first, bit annoying as we only used it a couple of times and it was brand new but I guess like everything you always get an odd dud one now and again.

Who said I would come home :D

Update on inverter. Just bought van back from dealer and it was replaced, they tested it and only managed to get 110v out of it, no alarms or lights so very strange, new one working fin, just a different remote on/off switch.

One or more of the MOSFETs will have blown. Is it a cheap Chinese inverter?

What is a MOSFET???
Probably made in China but its a Sunshine Solar so not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.

A type of power transistor they use. You can sometimes see them bolted onto the aluminium heat sink or metal case.

Badge engineered Chinese I'm afraid, some are ok, ours has been ok for light hair tongue use...

But you need one of these bad lads for reliability :)

Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor, as Richard and Ann said often bolted to a heat sink.

Ours is mostly going to be a cup of coffee a day, hair dryer and charging Ebike so hopefully will last the course.
