Thanks Revolvor, we have the same bubble tester from Southampton Calor with the 3/8 pipe adaptation. Reading the BSS guidelines, seems BSS guys may no longer be allowed to tightness test unless gas safety registered, although the rules may be relazed for privately owned boats, seems they recommend and prefer bubble testing and we seem to pass the Alde 10second test and the BSS 60second test with no bubbles, so think you and others are right, no need to worry, we just saw something unexpected and was interested in if antone else had observed the same, but no-one yetm thanks again, have a good oneDaveBrent I think you are worrying too mch. I fitted one of these to my boat. The BSS Examiner just holds it down for 60 seconds, and if no bubbles, then it is OK.
