Ours 7605 is the previous model to yours Harvey, which has a permanent 12v feed from the batteries, as well as a D+ feed. Also found a Leisure battery power supply behind the existing fridge with decent size cable so will probably use that for the power supply.

Having changed a few items as well as the PCB over the last 5 x years, I have often thought about it's replacement when it finally bites the dust, and a look at ordinary domestic Fridge/Freezer units running off an inverter looks quite favourable, as highlighted in a previous post above, especially with a large lithium bank and solar.
Good luck with your changeover to the replacement unit.
Cheers,
Jock.![]()
Yes .scrapyards won't take them around here even with the complete unit removed due to the insulation. we can take them to the council tip though, foc.Just need to work out disposal of the old unit…![]()
Hi Steve you should have painted the outer frame while you were at it ! That cream outer does not matchHere is a photograph my vents I filled the vents with expanding foam (messy job) then cut a blank to fit and printed some vinal stickers to cover them, look like the real thing if you did not know.

If you struggle these guys take anything for free. They recycle, strip, upcycle...all.sorts. the amount t of crap they have taken for me is unbelievable.Where is that Gus? When the Funster vultures have picked over the carcass of the old one, I may have to take it to one nearest to Mar Menor? Do I need to have residents card or anything?![]()

Let's us see some install shots keeping it rather low key are you happy with itThanks for the reply… I’ve managed to dispose of it to someone who will be recycling the parts from it… very green!![]()
beer. Love it
I realize the OP has sorted it but an alternative approach for anyone in this position again would be to buy a compressor coolbox off amazon.es and have it delivered to a campsite.
Then either keep it or sell it when you get back.
They are not cheap, the Dometic Cool Freeze ones are around €400+ I would guess but they work extremely well. You can get much cheaper electric cool boxes but they use a lot of power.
