NC250

We did the NE250 earlier this year, but we made some modifications to make it a bit longer by adding in the Kelpies and Cullodden. So this is an NE300
Our route and stop-off is here.

I stay on the NE250 ( well very close to it) you’ll be fine with your size, have you planned any sites or stop overs ?

Inland, you have Braemar, Ballater, Banchory all deeside and in or on the edge of the village, and all good sites. Costal sites you have Stonehaven, Banff, Portsoy, again all easy walking distance to village/ town and pretty sure they are all open in Feb, and if it’s just a stop over Rosehearty boat club on search for sites is excellent. Findhorn aire is also a great stop. There’s plenty others but not too sure what is open in February (or when the half term is)

Looks great and thanks for posting.
Don't want to hijack the thread but we are also thinking of Scotland for 2 weeks in May.

Seems that most go west Scotland but I would imagine this to be very busy no matter what time of year so we quite like the look of the NE250.

How long did you take to do the 300 miles?
Did you stop 2/3 nights at various campsites?
Thanks

We took 17 days to do the 300 miles in Sept 2021. Generally we stopped two nights but 3 nights in Dundee and occasionally just one night ( Kelpies, Fraserburgh, Dinnet).
We did the Borders earlier in the year. That was about 18 days. Map available.
