Current cover is for 31 days, I wanted to purchase the travel extension to go to 35 days, they want an additional £89
Does this sound right?

we phoned yesterday and was quoted £140 for an extra 20 days to 51 days and then they said i must give them a return date i said we dont have one so no insurance crazy

Just book a Flexi return ticket - you can always change your mind but you have a return book as proof. It's what I have done for my current trip.

I tested today for 90 days,£622 and I have 3 medical conditions. A recheck for a couple , £900+

Yes I think in the end it was £799 for about 86 days for both of us. Had no option but to pay up as renewal was due only a few days before we left for our trip. Had tried to get a quote before then but kept being told that as it was new insurer they couldn't quote but I would have to wait for new people to quote on renewal!! Wasn't happy & looking to change this year.
