Here is a little game to kick off the week, name the road in the UK with the worst driving standards. I will kick off, The A13 into London, particularly the stretch from the M25 to the Limehouse Link Tunnel near Canary Wharf. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, anytime, night and day the driving is atrocious. Over the last few months I have had the misfortune to drive this road at least twice a week, I am lucky to still be alive, it is like the whacky races. Despite speed traps, average speed cameras and heavy traffic the appalling driving never fails to amaze. Lane discipline, whats that.... speed cameras, not my problem mate... undertaking is the norm. If one dares to stick to the speed limit to save your licence you are greeted with lights, tailgating and the middle finger. I am thinking of starting a Youtube Channel to chart my trips.. This time next year I will be a millionaire... What really grinds my gears though is the lack of Fuzz to catch these idiots. Our friendly Bobbies are all to happy to sit on a quiet B road behind a tree and catch one poor bloke doing 33mph on a Sunday morning but the A13 in Essex... not sight nor sound... Rant over..... Have a good safe week everyone.

Back to the A13. The bottom of the M11 leading onto the A13 heading south is awful as well. The road rage increases the nearer you get to London, it’s really noticeable and quite scary at times.

According to some recent insurance company survey (can't remember the name) the NC500 was the most dangerous .
Yeah - saw that - 307 accidents between 2016 and 2020 I think? Just beat a road in Devon - it’s over 500 miles long so I think they work it out how many accidents per mile

I guess it depends if you’re getting hare coursing go on , on your land, or fly tipping if you think that there’s not much crime
I don’t have any agricultural land fortunately as for fly tipping I blame the council’s for making it so difficult to get in the tip with rubbish, not that I condone fly tipping☹️

What happened to the Cat & Fiddle road being the most dangerous in the country?
This weekend a caravan was blown over by 70mph wind, often it is speed "freaks" on motorbikes or in sporty cars getting caught out by the road. (the implication being that its the drivers causing the incidents)

Single carriage way section of A5 between Gledrid Roundabout Chirk and Churncoat Roundabout Shrewsbury, or vice versa.

Many people seem to think its a dual carriageway (in both directions) and the games of chicken I've witnessed have been scary.

Cheers
Red.
