Rally 'Music & Mechanicals' meet 1st - 4th July 2016 - Bubble Car Museum, Nr Langrick, South Lincs

Simon, sorry but we are going to have to drop out of this one.

Our motorhome has to go in for its repair on 28th June and the chances of it being finished by the 1st July are non-existent.
Pleased to hear it's getting fixed, but what a shame the dates clashed. Jane broke a crowned front tooth a couple of weeks ago just two hours into a 12 day trip away, so she was as gap toothed as your van for the duration. (n) Couldn't really cover it up with gaffer tape like the van though.

Let me know if anything changes - we can always slot you back in at the last minute.

The current list looks like this:

  1. @TheCaller
  2. @triclops
  3. @Langtoftlad
  4. @Wildge
  5. @ciderman
  6. @JockandRita
  7. @Bobnmyrtle
  8. @irnbru
  9. @rupert
  10. @treetops
  11. @Geordie and the Dragon
  12. @Debs
  13. @gillnphil
  14. @Anthea M
  15. @panda
  16. @Fantini
Still some space for more - doubly welcome if you sing or if you play an acoustic instrument. (y)

We have around seven or eight local musicians joining us who are either in or friends of the two bands that I am associated with. They play a variety of styles, from Irish traditional, through American Old Time (verging on Country Music), to folk rock, dance music & most things in between. Several singers amongst them. Some will just be there on the Sat night, others are arriving on Friday. All very experienced 'open session' players, so very laid back & relaxed - just join in with anything you know or start a tune or song & they'll join in if they know it. It's a great atmosphere for those that aren't too confident of a tune or are learning to play, because all the 'unintended' notes get lost in the overall sound! :)

For any new readers, all the original meet info is here & here.

But only on the condition.....................that you (at the very least) let me pay for the delicacies in question please Sandra. That's the deal. ;)

I'll send my shopping list via PM, but in the meantime, you'll need to arrange for the hire of a 7.5 tonner.

See you next weekend, and thanks for the offer. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Sorry to hear that. Doubly sorry that it is because of a funeral.

If you feel up to it, there is no problem if you want to come over on Saturday.

@REKERLY Can you let me know how many of you there are, how long your van is, its Reg No (by PM if preferred), do you want EHU, when you plan to arrive & leave?
(The meet runs Friday afternoon to Monday morning, but you can arrive before or after Friday & leave before or after Monday.)

Oh flip, only just seen this and would love it but think we're going to Eskfest.

Going over Hardknott with the M/H then? (y)

Well, it's certainly nearer than Lincolnshire! Make sure you have your ticket though - they were nearly sold out last week. It should be a good little festival & in a lovely location - I do like Eskdale. Our small gathering won't be anything like Eskfest, but if you are too late for a ticket, you will be very welcome to a rather more relaxed & acoustic weekend - very much a do-it-yourself affair.

Just me and the dog if allowed. Friday to Sunday please.
