Mushroom advice require

I did the same at that age. If you knew the right fields to go to it wasn't too hard to get a good harvest.

The risk was zero - generations had been collecting mushrooms from the same fields without mishap. :)
Used to be the same here, fetch the cows in for milking and bring a bag of mushrooms for breakfast at same time, but we don't get any growing now .
No idea why.

look like they could be Honey Fungus, common this time of the year, IF they are then edible if you have a strong stomach. Personally No thanks

The fields have probably been "improved" with fertiliser and perhaps other dressings. The fungi like traditional pastures only.

Had no fertilizer for over twenty years, and just run as traditional grazing for sheep and cattle.

And just to add when we did get them was when it did have a small amount of fertilizer

They look good to me
but then I've been wrong (and ill) before.
if they smell OK and taste OK (when cooked) try one today then the rest tomorrow.
 
If in France you can take mushrooms/fungi to a pharmacist who will tell you if they're ok to eat. (French joke is that the pharmacist will take out the best, tell you the rest are fine for you to eat, then cook the others for supper.) I've never taken mushrooms to a UK pharmacist but you could try.
