I was given a multimeter back in 1987 for Xmas. It still works. What amazes me is the battery in it still works. How else could I get resistance readings.

I still have the meter I bought on eBay for £0.01 it did have £7.99 postage on top. That was back in the day when eBay allowed that. I used that meter for years at work, a bargain at £8
