Moving house problems so we may need to live in MH for a bit, very many questions so help please.

Hope the house sale goes through smoothly. :)

Thanks, fingers crossed.
Not ridiculous at all - most people love being in their motorhomes whenever they can.

Point taken but I'd much prefer a smooth house move that doesn't need us to live in the MH. We can use the MH when the dust has died down and my blood pressure has returned to normal :D.

You be careful, very careful...

I moved into my van on a tempory basis nearly 30 years ago and have never moved out again...

JJ
Excellent, nice one.

I dont see the problem with living in a van. what concerns me is that 1 in 3 property exchanges collapse:coffee:

Think it's a great idea, oil filled radiator, a site with good warm shower room, good internet , sit back relax , much better than stress and being under someone else's feet. Hope it all goes well. :)

Wish I hadn't read that:D
I'm on tenterhooks waiting for exchange of contracts. It's a fairly long chain but the loose ends seem to getting sorted out. My biggest fear is getting stung with a revised lower offer just at the point of exchange.

Fingers and toes crossed for you Mack, housing market a basket case...

Just an update folks, moving tomorrow all packed up today and surrounded by boxes!
Keep looking for things and discovering we've packed them, drinking g&t out of mugs, no need to stay in the MH but can't wait to use it again.

Thanks for all the advice and kind words of encouragement, great to be a Funster!

good luck for tomorrow(y)

Good luck Mac, we've moved house a few times, always had a box for our bedding, toiletries, kettle and tea making stuff.

Get your bed put up and made first thing, so after all the chaos and stress at least you've got that to look forward too.

I moved in to my van tempory for work reasons and it was two years before we moved back in

Hope all goes well, Mack.

We completed on our house sale in September 2014. We couldn't move to France as we planned due to my still being treated by the orthopaedic surgeon until November-30 broken bits in my tib & fib.

We saved & are saving a fortune in house expenses-feels great not to pay council tax, phone, gas, electricity etc.. Now at Parc Verger, Limousin house hunting at last!!!! :)

I'd be wondering if the people at the top of the chain are really intending to complete.

Too late now, all contracts exchanged. Apparently some arm twisting was involved!
Penalties for not completing would be horrendous.

You must be feeling as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

I hate moving..... hope only to have to do it once more.

All moved OK, totally surrounded by boxes, can't find the dog or wife now:).
Must find the toilet, I'm not sure a 6 a.m. pee in the front garden will go down too well round here:D

Glad it's all worked out. ours didn't 8 years ago. Still living in the van. Seen a lot more places though. Currently in warm portugal.
