Moving Home in this climate

We've signed and taken the keys from a flat we've purchased and was in the process of renovating it and have 2 months left of a rental flat we are currently in.
We have no date that we can move into it as the removal services has stopped so we are currently paying council tax ect for 2 places now. It is only 5 minutes walk to the other flat.Thats obviously is not essential to go there. Can't get electrician or plumber to moving is on hold. We wonder what will happen when our current contract expires and we have to move out

I found this article in the Mail which attempts to shed some light on what we should and should not be doing, I too am in limbo waiting to exchange contracts, but better then having already exchanged and not knowing what to do for the best.

Home moves halted in lockdown and property viewings are banned

Agents have called for more guidance as those due to move home, whether completing on a purchase or having committed to a rental are left unsure what will happen.
