There in lies the problem. Where are they getting in? Never found where.

I put a bait / poison box near every wheel and 2 ordinary mouse traps taped under the bonnet.

…”they are looking for somewhere safe to avoid being eaten by something larger… nothing smelly like bounce sheets or onion or mint or anything like that, is remotely unappealing versus being eaten .. dont waste your time”

Plastic mouse traps inside rodent boxes, baited with peanut butter - simple and effective.
