is there such a thing as a glases guide for motorhome, were just trying to find out how much current van is worth it is a 60 plate Hymer 562 Silverline with 22000 miles and good service history it has a sat dish and gasit anybody any ideas on price all replies appreciated even the sarky ones it is on a mk 7 transit and its a coach built

No such thing as a Glasses type guide as far as I'm aware. Best bet is to check out prices for the same with online dealers, eBay, gumtree etc.

Extras on the van won't make a blind bit of difference to the price. If getting another van I'd remove the gas-it and put in the new one.

Yes, remove as many extra's you have fitted or had fitted, they are ignored when it's valued at any dealer's. Worth much more to you , only need reinstalling on your new m/h.

I consider there is definitely a "glasses guide" type information to dealers as all the dealers we talked to when we px'ed our last van gave exactly the same value to it.

Extra's added nothing to the value and in all truth were probably removed by the dealer as he would not want to give warranty on them.

They were not interested in mileage and when we arrived to pick up the new vehicle they only checked the vehicle for damp.

Yes there is, Duncan Wildman of WildAx had one he referred to when valuing my old MH as a Px...
He mentioned it was a very expensive publication.

I thought there was a glass's type guide available to traders only
Yes there is ... Any old paperback that looks like a price guide.
As long as the seller believes the dealer when he says the 'BOOK' says its worth £xxxxxx then his bluff paid off.

I have a glasses guide for motorhomes, but it is very out of date

Yes there is definitely a Glasses guide, a salesman showed me one back last year when I laughed at his valuation of my van. Expect the value to be about half of what you expect they are looking to make close on 100% on your van

anyone care to give an idea off what it will be worth all help appreciated

Motorhome depot have one for sale at £40k

So if they can actually sell it for that I see no reason why you would not get somewhere near the same or higher price as you have a little less mileage.

Knock around 20% off for a trade in.

mine is a coachbuilt, not an a class don't know how much price difference it makes

Is it this type?

Out and about live show it at £48k from new with options. At 9 years old and depreciation possibly down to mid to late 30's?

A friend of our just sold his 57 plate Rimor ford based whatever...private sale.
6 berth with large garage for £17000.... £500 less than what he payed 6 years ago. He was offered £11000 from a trader against a 2012 Adria matrix.
Just look at what others are going for like yours and try selling private. You never know.

i looked online and can't find any others about, i think they were a limited edition but thanks for your reply

Maybe get a dealer to give you a trade in value and add 6k or so or just look at adds for something that cost about the same new. Good time of year to sell if you are in no hurry come up with a figure add a biot maybe 2 or 3k and give it a try. The real answer to what it is worth is what someone will pay for it the value is not a scientific figure its like selling a house

There is an ended ebay listing in 2016 for one at 27k but sounds a bit low to me. Ours is a 2014 Chausson flash 10 I was offered £26k as a trade in a year ago I recon if I sold it privately I might get £30k to 32k but would try to look what hey were going for at the time and take about 2-3k off the dealers asking price. Just looked on autotrader there is a 2012 one at 31k and a 2015 (newer shape lower mileage) at 37k so I recon I would put on at about £32k and expect to drop 1-2k unless the phone kept ringing or if I wanted to sell fast £29,500 if you look at tha ads anything less than £30k tends to be quite old from a dealer. As I have never tried this is all guesses!!!!!! and I guess as yours is a posher make but low mileage and presumably in good nick you could try at that sort of level especially if you have had it for a while (it always puts me off if someone has bought and is selling quickly). Others will no doubt say differently!

When I was talking to Insurance Companies to get a quote, one Company rep on the phone said "If you van is written off then according to the Glasses guide it is worth £XXX) so it would appear the Insurance Companies use them as well.

What price does it give for my 2012 hymer...?

;)

My hymer A class was bought for X and the price went up to X plus35% when the pound dropped so do I hold a steady price and the pound dropped away or does it go down and pound go the othere way???????????? both I should imagine as the dealers want a profit on vehicle they might hold for month. I think mine would go in a week though . I AM NOT selling btw.
