Motorhome Tyres

Two on Tour looking at Hankooks, had them on my caravan, do you mind me asking what hankooks did you fit please

We I went up to a 16" wheel from a 15" I wanted to keep the rolling diameter of the 16" tyre near to the 15" so as not to throw the speedo reading out, and as such I used a lower aspect ratio tyre.
The tyres I fitted are the Hankook Vantra LT RA18 225/65 R16C 112/110R 8PR SBL with a load rating of 1120Kg per tyre.

Hi All
Just an update on my tyre situation. I did eventually find the age stamp, and Phil D was correct it was on the inside of the tyre. The bad news for me was that the Tyres were stamped 02/11 which meant that they were the original Tyres fitted to the van by Fiat in 2011, Van registered in 2012.

As I have only done 600 miles since I bought this Van from Travelworld (Erwin Hymer Centre) in October 2019 at a cost of £59950 I contacted Travelworld to see if they could assist me with new or a contribution to the cost of circa £650 for 4 new tyres. Guess what, they didn't want to know and said that my return to base warranty had expired (6months), but none of us have been going anywhere have we?

I feel that I have been treated poorly but I guess all dealerships are the same once you have driven off and they have got your hard earned cash? Any way, I decide not to fit Michelins and have gone for Continental Vango Tyres, got a brilliant deal on Kwikfit through Quidco as well 10% off so 4 tyres cost £493! That would of bought a lot of diesel, but you live and learn! Thanks again to all who helped.

One of the reasons for camping car tyres, the white man van spends as much time empty as full moves nearly every day. Motorhomes spend most of their life at around 90% loaded, most but not all do around 4,000 a year, the annual two weeks a couple of bank holidays and maybe a weekend or two.
