Burstner Ixeo 680g
Does anyone know how much a burstner 680g 2017 would cost for a year road tax ?

Just a thought on Nationwide. The 8m rule only applies if you cross the channel. It also, thankfully, only seems to apply to the stated length of the moho, not including tow bar, bike rack etc. My Bailey Autograph is 7.98, has both, and I've successfully called on recovery services twice, once in Spain, once in Portugal...
Looks like you have very luck. The policy states that length will include and bike racks and tow bars fitted. Screenshot taken from policy document.

Depends on the policy. I have a Nationwide Flexplus account which includes breakdown and their limits for motorhome is 7.5 tonnes and a maximum of 2.55m wide. No mention of length. Cover provided by the AA. Can’t think the Nationwide would have preferential conditions over and above a normal AA policy.
The Nationwide Flex plus says in the small print max length 8 Mtrs if you read further.

Good spot. I think the asterisked info is a recent addition. I may have to rethink...

If your lucky it will be the Private Heavy Goods at £165!
One of the ‘stage’ (STAGE 2) plates on my Rapido shows 3,700kgs GVW.
I sent DVLA a photo of the plate and it’s now taxed as PHG instead of PLG. Saves me £160 p.a. But, you need a C1 licence!

The only advantage of being over 3500kg is the VED and possibly payload

Disadvantages:

Need for C1 licence
Resale value/ sale ability
Some tolls
Recovery
3.5t restricted areas
Speed limits
.....................possibly more
and - No need for Angles Mort stickers

You’re right you need a C1 licence but that apart, no issues!
1. Resale value? Downplate it again if it’s a big issue.
2. Tolls? tolls abroad measure the height over the front axle. Weight isn’t an issue.
3. Recovery? My plated weight is over 3,500kgs but my actual weight isn’t!
4. Restricted areas? I can’t recall seeing a 3.5t limit anywhere, though 7.5t is common.
5. Speed limits? Not a big problem, I drive a Vivaro van anyway and have the same restrictions but, neither DVLA or DVSA have a database of Motorhome vehicle weights, they wouldn’t know!
😂🤣
6. Angles Morts? Personally, I’d add them anyway!

Not that many here but lots in France

If you think they help put them on now.........
Be happy to have angles Morts on my Rapido! It’s not been to France yet but I already have the U.K. equivalent! 😏

Not seen the UK equivalent - is there one?

Are they on your van now? and will you add Angles Mort when you go to France?

Yes, they are and Yes, I will ! As an ex cyclist and a recently retired motorcyclist, I’m all in favour! 😏

p.s. Angles morts = blind spot stickers….

As an ex cyclist and biker I didn't need any stickers to warn me to stay out of danger.... when there were more cyclists and bikers
and less trucks!

Neither did I, I learned the hard way!
I’m all in favour of warning less experienced though….

We had the same with our previous recovery which had brought in a 3500kg limit. We're registered at 3850kg but could reduce to 3500kg if had to by dropping water. Don't just assume that they will accept you are under your plated weight though, I contacted them and got confirmation in writing that this would be okay so if I had a 'jobsworth' recovery person I could show it was approved and on file rather than just be my opinion.
