Burstner Ixeo 680g
Does anyone know how much a burstner 680g 2017 would cost for a year road tax ?

Unfortunately the free check does not give the info for 12 that’s but it does say ulez compliant so hoping it not that much.

You can do a paperwork exercise to get the van up plated above 3500kg. This will depend on your tyres, suspension. Companies like Van Weight Engineering or SvTech can advise. Look at their websites.
If you can, you pay lower tax and have more payload.

Does this impact other things like Commercial ULEZ rates and higher tolls in the EU for vehicles over 3500kg.

Also I read that many breakdown policies have a max 3500kg ?

Depends on the policy. I have a Nationwide Flexplus account which includes breakdown and their limits for motorhome is 7.5 tonnes and a maximum of 2.55m wide. No mention of length. Cover provided by the AA. Can’t think the Nationwide would have preferential conditions over and above a normal AA policy.

Above 3.5t road tax would be £165
If you uprate, depending on age, no LEZ charges in any of the uk cities apart from the smoke.

£325 a year unless it's registered after 1st April 2017 and then it might be different depending on if the certificate of conformity lists the g/km.
I thought the bum period was September 2019 until April 2020

Not really sure, just bored so did the Googling for OP.
This is an excerpt from that page:
"If your motorhome was registered between 1 April 2017 and 11 March 2020
You’ll pay a different rate of tax if both of the following apply to your motorhome:

it’s in the M1SP category - check with your dealer if you’re not sure
its CO2 emissions are included on the ‘type approval certificate’ (this might be called a ‘certificate of conformity’ or ‘individual vehicle approval’)".

Perhaps the M1SP portion (whatever that is) is a portion of that time period also.

Vehicle tax has become hilarious.

It didn't get applied until September 2019.
My van was registered 14th April 2017 I've always paid £165.

Isn't yours chunky though? Over 3500kg?
Yes but although when they talked about bringing in the luxury tax they were talking about making over 3500kg exempt but they didn't.

I may have misunderstood this but from 1st April 24, think annual tax will cost an extra £390pa, irrespective of size:

Vehicles with a list price of more than £40,000

You have to pay an extra £390 a year if you have a car or motorhome with a ‘list price’ of more than £40,000. You do not have to pay this if you have a zero emission vehicle.

The list price is the published price of the vehicle before it’s registered for the first time. It’s the price before any discounts are applied.

You only have to pay this rate for 5 years (from the second time the vehicle is taxed).

Am i wrong 😭😭😭😭??

Or is it when you first purchase a Motorhome?

Sorry it does relate to new vehicles🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

Just a thought on Nationwide. The 8m rule only applies if you cross the channel. It also, thankfully, only seems to apply to the stated length of the moho, not including tow bar, bike rack etc. My Bailey Autograph is 7.98, has both, and I've successfully called on recovery services twice, once in Spain, once in Portugal...
