Hi i have a real problem I've also been very lucky
The Story is
Was lucky anough to perchess my bosses motorhome he has now past away god bless him
Any way he bought an autocruse impala 2 berth coachbuilt
In the year 2000 2.5 pugeot
The story is he used it once only ever boiled a kettle in it never slept in never in the rain it's been in our company storage all these years ony 3000 miles took fo mot clean underneath as in and outside still has plastic on carpets seats it's all brand new obviously past mot without saying absolutely prestein in and out I've been so lucky never slept in this would cost alot to replace so I'd like to insure it for and agreed amount it might be old on the plate but the whole thing is amazingly brand new need some good advice here please

The problem is, that no matter how much value you put on your new (to you) pride and joy, it will be worth nothing more than the current day market value to the insurers.
Look for similar aged models with low mileage to get an ideal of pricing, then make your decision re value. I'm sure that you'll still be quids in, compared to what you possibly paid for her. ;)

Good luck,

Jock. :)

As it is 25 years old you may be able to get a "classic" policy with agreed value which can be above market value.
We insured our Bilbos on a 1997 VW T4 with agreed value with "Just Campers" insurance and I think other brokers may do the same.

Try some specialist self build in’s company’s like AIB or AdrianFlux who can/may/ insure your van for agreed value. Usually involves taking pics and sending to them. Agreeing the value for total loss. You pay a agreed price inline with agreed value/risk. Make sure you have it all in writing from them because as JockandRita says they will try and pay you what the current going rate is rather than agreed value if the worst thing happens. There are other companies that do agreed value so Google😉
