Motorhome Hire in Calais

Germany is a lot better.
Germany has many more hire companies, better quality of motorhomes available, and cheaper than anywhere else in northern Europe. They also speak English!
Many of the hire companies have bases close to the German border for exactly this reason as all the neighbouring countries come to Germany to pick up their rental vans before heading off.
As you need a load of 'kit', standard holiday luggage plus towels, bedding, duvets, possibly deck chairs, table, kitchenware and other camping related stuff the best bet if for him to leave a day before you do, drive to Harwich, get the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland, drive to Dusseldorf, leave the car at the hire company and then meet you in France or wherever you are going.
DRM is one of the major companies, but there are several others.
