Hi everyone been looking to buy a motorhome for a month or so now. I knew that prices were rising due to lockdown etc! But it seems to be silly at the moment, especially when going to motor home dealers, no or very little wiggle room on price displayed. Thinking of waiting till Autumn/Winter and seeing if prices become a bit more realistic.
Is this usually the case ?
Cheers

Any business buying stock from the continent will be paying in € I would guess so with the £ on the low side their new stock will be costing them more so keeps the used stock price up, only my take on it though.

In normal years you can get some good bargains in the autumn, when the dealers start getting in their next year stock models and they still have a few present year models on the forecourt that they are desperate to get rid of. That is when they get a bit twitchy. That mainly applies to new models, but it trickles through to second hand ones to a certain extent. We bought our 2015 Hymer in a very good deal at the end of October 2015 and I reckon we could get nearly what we paid for it this year.

But this is not a "normal" year and I doubt very much that there will be any of this year's stock still unsold in the autumn. If you are patient it may revert back to normal next autumn. There are some suggestions that some people who have rushed into motorhoming may quickly realise it is not for them after a few cassette emptying problems and that will mean more motorhomes on the market and prices dropping. But if you are not patient then you are probably going to have to pay through the nose.

I brought a 2018 sunlight a72 at the start of lockdown. We paid alot for it but I didn't want to get something we might have problems with going forward.
Goodmans motorhomes in waltham abbey. Excellent service. Have a look at there website. Good luck

Bought a three year old Autotrail Tribute T720 on Saturday. Bought it through a broker and the guy who was selling it was present to assist with any queries we had.
Pick it up 11th August, can't wait, managed to get booked on a couple of sites for a few days.
Cheers
