If your van is over 3.5 tons or longer than 5 meters, check your policy as many policies will not recover if over 3.5 tons. That's one reason I went with RAC Arrival.
 
Iam with the AA and checked with them that now i have up'd the gvm to 4.0 would i still be covered. The answer which had to come from a supervisor was the motorhome was constructed with a gvm of 3.5 that it may be able to take 4.0 is not a problem and would not be weighed as its classed as a 3.5 he even knew that the pick up driver may ask if he thought it was a problem to drop the water. He also said that it would not be the AA that recovered it but one of its agents. The AA would pick up on return to the uk. I hope i never need to put this to the test.
 
No need for me.... Im joining the Flyingscotsman breakdown recovery service when my safeguard gold policy runs out(y)(y)
