Given reduced storage from caravan to small motorhome that has a bike rack fitted I am looking for suggestions and advice for a back box for tools, toilet fluid, wellies etc that will easily fix to bike rack but is affordable and not Fiama price range stuff.

£25 for the box, £5 for threaded rod, flat bar I already had. Cut and bend the threaded rod into hooks. Drill holes in the bottom of the box and flat bar. Thread hooks through holes and flat bar and under the bike carrier, tighten nuts to hold box on. As an added precaution I put a ratchet strap around the whole thing when travelling.

I use it for all my wet diving kit so it can drip and dry.

We also previouly had the canvas carrier but had to run a couple of extra support rods across the top to limit the amount of rain pooling but still a good cheap alternative

We carry our bikes on top of the box simple solution!
does that not cause an over weight on the bike rack ( assuming the box is mounted on a bike rack that is )

so about 14 - 15kgs a piece so 28 to 30 kgs and around 20kgs in the back box

that was a sneaky edit ;)

Charlies Stores now sell a range of thick heavy duty large black recycled plastic boxes with lids for under £20.
May be suitable for storage?

Cheers but haven’t had a chance to anything as my better half has been rather poorly to put it mildly so MoHo may not be travelling for a while sadly.
Just read your last thread...sent you a pm....Dont worry about it. Sort the beloved out first and then hopefully you can both move on then
