They said on BT last night, he has received a double long lap penalty!
Yes, he has. Some however are calling for a harsher penalty.

Having to override it, poor bloke.I was pleased Marc Marquez wasn't injured when he fell perhaps trying to hard to hang onto 2ed.
Rightly so. They can't change the rules. Now Honda are trying to get the penalty squashed on a technicallity.

Yup. Good hard racingNice to see today that the race stewards showing some common sense at last
Too late here, already committed as booked weekend tickets, grandstand & camping etc. Starting to get mad money now though, not sure how long we’ll continue going in UK.Before I get shouted at I will be the 1st to admit I don't know the solution to this, but I am at this moment undecided as to wether I am going to shell out a lot of money for us to go to the British Moto GP especially as I believe that it is being shown free to air on ITV.
It's a very well known rule.Whilst the rules are well understood by teams/riders, for me I think it’s a case of the last lap penalty being disproportionate to the crime for any supposed advantage gained in the example from this weekend.
Yeah I know, it’s an automatic black/white outcome from sensor readings. From a purely logical perspective that makes perfect sense. But from an emotional or situational perspective it can be infuriating, especially when you may have been hoping to have the offending team on the podium. It's a very well known rule.
Touch green on last lap gets you long lap penalty.
There are sensors in the green areas. No room for mistakes.
He did it twice this weekend from 3rd places.
Muppet.
The problem in my experience at foreign tracks is unless you have access to a big screen then commentator announcements are not much good if you don't speak the languageWhat's the problem?
The race results were distributed before end of cool down lap.
Can't see any problem???
It's only same as a crash on last bend. You won't know unless you see it.The problem in my experience at foreign tracks is unless you have access to a big screen then commentator announcements are not much good if you don't speak the language
The old pits are getting long in the tooth.I know I am a bit of a dinosaur but using the F1 start and finnish at Silverstone this weekend just seems wrong.
