The front and rear clearance lights can be in one light unit but would need to be visual in both directions .
 
but I don't know whether to move the light,
Why not get an extended rubber flexi one ? Mine is positioned immediately behind the awning & used to be a flat type red to rear & white to front ,which was obscured by the awning.I just got an extension flexi type which is just able to be seen from the front which does the job.& they have always been testable items here.

Update - motorhome passed MOT with marker light obscured from front view.
The tester commented, but didn't note it. He said that as long as it worked it didn't matter if you couldn't see it from the front.
By the way I don't have front marker lights.

His only other comment about marker lights was that they had been told to check that they were actually fitted (probably width dependant ) , and that they hadn't been removed or taped over.

Anyway , happy days :D
