MOT on friday & screen washers not working despite fitting a new pump.

Y local garage has a fitting he puts on his air line and reverse blows from the jet end then spend a little time take off the reservoir and clean it.

Robert I hope you discover where the blockage in the pipework is very soon & hope its an easy fix(y)
Sometimes you have to think outside/inside the Box.
If the pump is pumping, and there is only a little squirt coming out the nozzle, then I would check The Prostrate Gland, cos they are known to fur up with old age.
Oh! must run...again!
Good luck.
LES
I suspected the prostrate too Les 😂 Right now, I've got to the root of the problem. There is a small Y piece on the pipework with a one way valve in it (presumably) to stop the water draining back & it had failed miserably. Why the hell do FIAT have to fit such second rate parts? I've stripped the gubbins out of the Y piece which left me with a small hole in the Y, so I've popped a wee brass self tapper screw into the hole, so now all is clear but, I had to give in as the midges well beginning to eat me for supper.

Are they working yet?
Cancelled MOT til tuesday Sandra, everything that could go wrong did go wrong, all that was despite the amount of work I've done on the old girl since lockdown (& the motorhome lol). I'm well ahead of things now & the extra breathing space has boosted my confidence of a pass. Gabby & Gus haves declared that it must, must, must pass or I'll get the chop!! o_O
Thanks Les, I might just order that & a rake of new tubing, I've used oxygen tubing (can't think where I got that from?) for now & the pressure is already far better than its ever been....Result.

I found a very old thing in the loft, its been there for over a hundred years....Its a water tank (disused) so that'll be going to Sotheby's soon lol.

You are sitting there patiently waiting on me dropping myself in it!:reel:
No way am I gonna rise to the bait and say "what was MrsAK doing up in the loft!".:whistle2:
When we moved into our Victorian house we stripped out a load of lead (water tanks \ rising main \ etc \ etc) and block tin (gas piping). We installed a new gas combi boiler and when we took the scrap to the local merchant got more than the boiler cost us!:clap2:
