Most depreciating Motorhome accessory?

Always confuses me when people say they sleep in awnings. I only understand the wind out awning to keep the rain off (ok and sometimes the sun)

Maybe they climb in to them and use them as a hammock

Where abouts are you for the wheels if still available

I'm still in for the wheels as well, I think you are only the other side of stoke to us which is no problem as to the fetching if they are the right size.

What is it?

Here's some pointers to help you think.

For sale on here and (FB) I have a blow up air awning. £1100 new, used 2 or 3 times, changed van doesn't fit. I can practically not give it away!!! I advertised it at £400 a complete bargain I thought, yet despite 135 questions on FB two agreed deals where no one turned up and then blocked me, someone turning up and saying "oh I thought it was a drive away" still no sale and currently at £350.

5 spare wheels with nearly new winter tyres on two. You can have the tyres but you have to take the wheels. giving them away, literally, no Takers.

What other things did you buy that you never knew you needed and then frankly you didn't and took a massive hit on. Excluding the actual Motorhome btw we all take a hit on them.
Hello Haganap, I'm a newbi to this so please forgive if I get something wrong in or with this post. if you still have wheels and tyres what size are they and where about are you roughly parked up when not out traveling, also I have a Ducato with the ACE body, would your awning fit it, like I said new to all this only had MH since December our first one, so on a BIG...Massive learning curve. Thanks

Fiamma safari room,

Bought it second hand like new for what thought was a fair price.
Used it twice realised why it was like new when I got it had to all but give it away.
Is it a faff to use? I was considering getting one…!

Found our wind out awning handy to keep the rain off the hab door area.
We had similar thoughts when we wanted an awning but we got a good deal at the NEC show on an electric awning and I have to say we have used it a huge amount more than if we had opted for the wind out. It it's raining it goes out at the push of a button. Well worth the extra.

In short yes!
It’s heavy, and even with the side wall to roof improved clip system i don’t feel it’s very good in any sort of wind conditions.
The final straw for me ( and we literally only used it a few times ) was having to panic pack it away in blustery wind and heavy rain, as it had parted at the roof to side wall joint and was acting like a kite on it’s strap down points. Not a good experience.

If we need an enclosed awning area example if staying for a short while and need to hang wet coats, boots etc, we now use a very lightweight inflatable porch awning.
That is in the UK only. Any other time we use a sun /rain blocker on the side or front of the wind out.

For those asking about my wheels I'm in Cheshire.
Just been out and checked.

225 75 16 are the tyre sizes
2 are barely used snow tyres

The wheels need a good clean as they have surface rust and don't look pretty.

The other tyres are camping tyres

Don't know what's happening with these tyres and wheels, but if you are not too far away, which I don't think you are and they havnt gone ,just tell me where and when I can pick them up and I will be there.
Thanks.

you're welcome to them for your birthday :-) as said, tyres are good, wheels could do with a shot blast as they've been standing all be under cover. You were first to ask and I said I would get the sizes for you.
I'm In Haslington, not far from you just the other side of Alsager, just drop me a PM and I will give you my address and arrange something.

Hi Haganap I can se that Chaser said he wants your wheels, but should he not want them in the end could you let me know as I am definitely interested interested in them as they would fit my MH and I need at least one for a spare but would take them all. I am also interested in your awning.

Bought a Honda generator a few years ago 💷 only ever use it at a few of the outdoor shows we attend each year, it only runs her Ladyships hair drier probably worth less than half what I paid for it by now. 😳😳😳 hell of an expensive hair drier.

We've an Isabella Air North 300 with the annex. Bought originally for the cat (the annex) when were between houses. Boris then locked us down and we couldn't stay on the site I'd booked. We've used it once. Fantastic 5.5 metres of space but the 300 is more than enough for hosting in the UK weather. £1000 an outing.
