Not on the Mosel but have been. Loads of sites and stellplatz. Take your choice.
Try the one on the riverside at Schweich. Lovely spot.

Look at this site bad reports look at park for night
Stayed there a few nights a couple of years ago. Loved it. Camping Platz Zum Farhtum. I think there is a stellplatz outside but the actual campsite is ok.

Were hoping to be at Sun park on or around the 14th
Was (is?)owned by a Dutchman. Lovely bar and snack area. Music. That was 2019 and I think covid didn’t help him. Would go back even though it is a bit out of Bernkastel but a bus stops outside.

as I remember there is cycle track all the way into Bernkastel which runs parallel with the road

One of our favourite sites, great for cycling from up into the vineyards, but thought this closed down a couple of years ago, looks like it has reopened?

Not sure but we’re currently connected to O2.de and getting a full strength signal.👍

I am watching this thread with interest as I too am off to Dusseldorf on Tuesday, then down the Mosel after.
We was thinking of the mosel a week on Monday but figured with all the wine festivals going on it’d be too busy, so still figuring out where to go for a week after the show🤔🤔

Thats good to hear, Reil was the only site in Europe we have struggled with Internet, just switched to O2 from virgin, and generally Internet is lousy in the UK almost wherever we have been.

No it’s never to busy and if you want there’s always Klusserath room for approx 300+

We sre thinking of going to the Mosel in about 4 weeks time. What is the road along the river like for motorhomes, or do you have to use the main roads and head in to a specific town on the river?

We just enter the destination into our sat nav and let it figure that out for us (previous van was a 5.3t 8.4m tag axle and current van is a 7t 8,5m van); works for us.👍

Put camper contact app in your I pad or any of the other apps for camper vans you can use these while your on your travels.

Hi, the roads alongside the Mosel are perfect for motorhomes so nothing to worry about other than your wine consumption!!
