I've never been totally happy with the Sterling B2B despite trying multiple ways of wiring and taking advice from fellow Funsters.
Yesterday, parked up and went out for a walk and a meal before the Newcastle ferry home from Amsterdam. On returning to the motorhome some 3-4 hours later I could hear a fan running in the garage.
Checked all electrics, invertor off, no lights left on, TV and satt in standby. Fridge on gas, no heating or water on.
Engine battery down to about 12v, lithium now 100% charged!
Tried manually turning B2b off but buttons didn't respond to any type of pressing.
Physically disconnect the input battery, B2b turns off, reconnect and it starts up correctly.
This morning drove 100k to ferry, stopped engine, 2-3 minutes later B2B stops as normal.
Any ideas?
Was so unimpressed with Sterling product that I ordered a new Victron unit for delivery via a DHL pick up point in Germany while touring, it didn't turn up, got lost in transit and was eventually returned to supplier and got credit 3 weeks later.
