Hi Nigel...just had a great springlike long weekend in the UK....but came back to this...our van is prepared except bikes.. looking for a dryer location...

Javea got a load of washing dry yesterday, but we do need some rain, not so much here as our water comes out the sea but surrounding areas are suffering preferred not to have it dumped in one secession because a lot is wasted. Bob.

The reservoirs above Crevillent are almost empty. They have not had any meaningful rainfall for 18 months. The flooded areas make the headlines but there are still areas in drought.

We have been on yellow alert for two days here in Javea and had under 2cm but not complaining. Bob.

Outside the next door apartment block to us this morning. The drain grills have been lifted and the water has now gone.

It was interesting to watch the various driving styles

Many years ago I was in GC when a tropical storm hit. We were in Las Palmas and a landslide closed the only main road back to Maspalomas. The below-ground level bus station was now also underwater. Luckily we had enough Pesetas to get a room for the night. Took several hours to get to our apartment in Playa Del Ingles the following day.

Yes the other side fortunately though, where we are,hardly anything at all.Just have to keep an eye on the flood water discharge channels as we have one opposite our house & is what caused us to get flooded years ago.
As jumartoo has said before it isn't whether it is raining where you are but what it is doing in the hills & mountains behind you & coming your way.

It's been pretty relentless here in the SW corner for the last few days ..but today we have had a few gaps of sun in-between the deluges . Down this way for another couple of weeks so hoping it's going to get better.... I have been amusing myself
watching the bloke over the way keep putting his van awning out then back in all morning..

Ours safely in and we won't be attempting it ! ( It's pretty blustery )...

Had hardly any here in Javea, little rain in the night but that was guaranteed because we washed the motorhome and car yesterday, been on a 11 k walk today and it's too hot got a bit concerned with Janie keep taking clothes off. Bob.

It was a really hot day yesterday in Beni but some dark clouds looming over the hills as the sun was going down . It was a pleasant evening though. But sometime in the night it bucketed down. Very heavy rain and then on and off with intermediate showers.
Damp this morning but brightened up and turned into a hot afternoon.
